I've been a Clown, a Gymboree teacher, I had a job feeding penguins at the aquarium. I've been a drama teacher, a really awful waitress, a student teacher, a car saleswoman, a health insurance saleswoman and a case worker for Vietnam Vets. All my life I have been afraid to really be my true crazy artist self. The closest I came was my stint as a stripper in the 90's (not a very good one but a stripper nonetheless). I was surrounded by crazy artist women in San Francisco. I worked at a place called the Lusty Lady and although I didn't particuarly like nude dancing, I loved being around eccentric women. I could finally claim my rightful place as a free spirit. Although I wound up selling my soul for that job, I learned a lot about being myself. That was then, now I am a mommy trying to live an honest authentic artist life. I hope to teach my child what I've learned from my mistakes and my triumphs, I hope she learns to speak up for herself and tell the truth.
