I got red peek-a-boo rock star streaks in my hair today! It may not seem like much, but I've had the same hair for five years and it was time to do something. I also got seven inches trimmed. My hair is still long, but now it won't get stuck between the chair and my lower back.

Also, because of my excursion today, I got to see a great vintage device today. It's a machine from the late 1930s that perms your hair with - you guessed it - electric shocks. I like to imagine someone who is a hair stylist by day, mad scientist by night and the madness creeping in to the daylight.
