I think I need a shift in my priorities. I can *not* stand a messy house, especially the kitchen. I compulsively clean it when I'm here by myself. When I should be studying for tests (although, I will admit that I have a mild case of anxiety that becomes severe when I have any sort of test coming up). When I should be working on the website like I promised Erin. When I should be cuddling with Lily just a little more because she's sick.
Ugh.
But that kitchen! The monstrosity it will become if I let it sit more than a few hours! How much harder the pans will be to scrub! The 1/4 inch of flour dust that will accumulate every day if I don't sweep and wipe everything down! The olive oil film that covers every surface, the red pepper slice on the floor that Lily will try to eat.... I need it clean for the dinner that I must cook tonight...
.... which will make it dirty again.
When did I become so obsessed with my damn kitchen?
Well, it's clean now, meaning I must go back to studying for my Edu exam with Lillers in my lap and the dogs cuddling beside us. Next, it'll be dinner time, and then I MUST convince myself to ignore the kitchen for long enough to read the constitution and write a page paper on the democrat debates... Wish me luck. Luckily Adrian's selling his plasma tonight, so I'll have a bit of free time after Lily goes to bed. (We're a bit short on cash since I quit my job to go back to school.)
ETA: Annnd I just found out that Heath Ledger died. I know this makes me lame, but I really liked him as an actor. :-(
