well, that's even better!!! I will do my darndest to be there :) How are things going these days?? did you have an interview somewhere, or am I mistaken???
I have news...I'll be heading to your area this May for a friend reunion. May 31 to be exact. I'll send you the invite on Facebook...maybe we can finally meet face-to-face.
Thanks :) I picked Vavavoom for a reason. I turned 30 last year and had a really crappy year (had severe PPD - Judy knows how bad it got....had relationship issues...family issues....gained weight due to meds and b/c shot.....blah.
I have decided to embrace my 30s and leave behind all the crap of my 20s. Don't get me wrong, my 20s were filled with fantastic events (meeting hubby, getting married, graduating university, having my 2 children) but a lot of it was stressful.
The first step to embracing my 30s is to leave behind my youth of the 20s. I'm older now, my body has changed, and I"m tired of feeling blah and old even though I'm not. I'm trying new makeup and clothes and a new "tough shit" attitude, lol. I even bought myself a pair of real "grown up boots" (Liz Claiborn leather knee highs with a 1 inch heel). I feel like I can take on the world in those things (IRL I'm 5ft 9 and I feel positively amazonic in those things, lol).
Thanks for all the welcomes :) It's nice to find a board of women that think like me :) Rare, and kinda scary, lol hahahahahaha
Yuppers, it's me!! lol. I find that writing things out has helped me immensely. I write spur-of-the-moment and just save it to my "diary" on my computer. I went back to look at it last night and since I was preggo with my son (5 years ago) I have over a hundred articles, blogs, tidbits, funny memories, etc. I really need to compile them. Who knows.....maybe my millions are there, waiting to be put into a book? lol. I can dream can't I? ...... lol
Rebecca? Is this you? Awesome! Welcome aboard and thanks for your kind words regarding my blog. I don't know why I started the blog but writing it makes me feel better.
I'm glad you're here.

Hello there! I see that you are a friend of Judy - I look forward to hearing what you both have to say. I'm so glad that you have a supportive partner, it makes life so much more pleasant.
Your quote is exactly the idea I was trying to get across with this site. It's for women who have chosen their path, not ones who were forced into it one way or another.
I think a lot of feminists are uncomfortable with the "anti-male" label that pops into everyone's minds. Being a feminist is about equality (which means different things to different people; I'm sure a discussion will be started eventually!), a love of the feminine, and giving each woman a voice. Even males can be feminists, so hating them makes no sense to me!
Helloooooooooooooo! Happy New Year and thanks for the invite :)

About Me:
I am 30 yrs old and have been married for 10 years. We have a 4yr old son and a 1 yr old daughter. My hubby loves having an independant feminist woman for a wife. He is helping me to raise a son that respects female power and a daugther that will be self-sufficient.
My favourite phrase in marriage is "I'm here because I want to be, not because I have to be". I have the resources to do this all alone but obviously having a partner that you can count on is preferable ;)
Do you consider yourself a Feminist?
Kind of - I'm not antimale like some
