Most women my age now have grandchildren but I think I have a way to go. My youngest daughter is serious about ballet. My oldest daughter was who showed me Girl Genius. I have been looking at some graphic novels to order for our local library. That is one of the percs for being on the library board. I have two sons also.

How do you like the pet rats? My husband has told me that they are actually very loving, but I can't give them a try because I'm allergic to them. We have non-traditional pets: a bearded dragon named Rufus and a ball python named Ivy. They work out well for us, as we as a family are basically allergic to mammals!

I love Girl Genius - it is definitely my favorite webcomic. I'm slowly buying their books as they come out. Is this the first Foglio comic you've read? It is for me, but my husband read What's Up with Phil and Dixie.

About Me:

I am an older mom with four children ages 24 to 13. I have worked out side of the home but am now stay at home. I cook,clean,read,sew,preserve food, serve on the library board,and feed our pet rats,dog,fish, and outside cats. I live in a very small town, less than a thousand within the city limits.I was the first women on the city council in the hundred years our town was in place. I took my baby to the meetings. I was part of a lawsuit for firing our worthless chief of police. It was horrible. It took three years. In ended in a jury trial.
