I feel your pain, too - I have really NOT enjoyed being pregnant at all. I resent not being able to eat what I want, sleep when I want, exercise as much as I want, and move around as easily. The leaky boobs, fuzzy tummy and extra heavy hair is icing on my cake.
I feel like a fat, bloated milk cow - and I've been told today I'm actually not that big for 33 weeks. ;P
I can't wait to start on motherhood, and get over the pregnant thing.
Fabric is definitely my downfall. I bought MORE today - my girlfriend gave birth to her second child last week, and of course this means I must think of making some personalised burp cloths, wraps and bibs! And I still have great swathes of the stuff that was on special! And perfect for a project for my Medieval recreation group! Two years ago! Heheh.
Nice to know I was missed. :)
We have a house with a separate craft room (for Daddy's toy soldiers and Mama's beads and sharp sewing things) now, as well as a nursery. Which is great, since there's only a couple of weeks till Splodge is full-term.
As for articles... There are a lot of social injustices that get my panties in a knot about, mostly because of how much they're overlooked. Granted, there are a lot of people on a lot of excellent blogs that have considerable more talent than I do, but at this point I have to realize that they've been doing this a lot longer than I have, and if I don't start soon, I never will.
Wow, that ended up being a lot longer (and more self-centered) than I intended. Sorry for clogging up your comment wall. :) I'm also curious as to what you're studying in school now! I hope you get the financial aid that you need!
My hubby is an elementary school teacher, but is currently substituting until he gets his own classroom.
I was excited to find this forum. So many of my friends are childfree, and so few identify as feminists, so it's been hard to find people to have a conversation with about feminist issues and motherhood who have knowledge in both, so I don't spend all my time defending one or the other.
